Sunday School
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." (Proverbs 22:6)
The general education our children receive today is simply not enough. In a world that becomes ever more complicated and morally complex, our children run the risk of lacking the spiritual and moral development to navigate their way through these treacherous waters. Our children must balance the advancement of their intellect through traditional schooling with the development of their moral character through education in the Orthodox Faith. It is here, in our Church School program, that we hope our children will not only make new friends and have fun, but that they will fundamentally build a moral compass that will guide them in later years to what is right and what is true.
Message from Fr. Milian:
Dear Parents,
We’re excited to kick off a brand new Church School year! Classes will begin on Sunday, September 21, and we’re looking forward to welcoming your children back for another season of growing in the Orthodox faith.
Here’s what you need to know:
- First day of class: September 21 following Holy Communion
- Location: In the Church Hall
- First class will be a teacher meet & greet
- Our curriculum begins this year with a study of the Divine Liturgy-workbooks are provided
We are building a great team of teachers and volunteers for this year who are ready to teach and guide your children through lessons in Orthodox worship, traditions and bible studies. All these to offer moments that will help their faith come alive. Whether your child is returning or joining for the first time, they’ll find a welcoming space to learn and grow.
If you have any questions or need to update your contact info, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Fr. Milan.
Thank you for the opportunity to walk alongside your family in the Orthodox faith. We can’t wait to get started!
In Christ,
Fr Milan
